About Elisa Pettenon
Elisa Pettenon is an emerging artist who lives and works in Sydney. Using primarily water soluble oils on canvas, her paintings are semi-realistic portrayals that subtly play on the effects of light and colour in order to capture the true essence of the scene.
Graduating in 2009, Pettenon studied a Bachelor of Visual Arts and Design at The Australian Catholic University, Strathfield. During this time, she was listed on the Dean’s roll of high achievers for the years 2006, 2007 and 2008 and graduated with the Visual Arts Outstanding Achievement Award. Her passion for painting started at a young age and her art adorns a bold, crisp image that explores the tension that exists between representation and impression.
